Mongolie Festival Chameau Best Of South Gobi

Flight to Dalanzadgad, the capital of South Gobi province. The Gobi Desert is an extreme area with wide temperature changes, sparse vegetation and small community of hearty nomads. The Gobi is also unique for its fauna. It is the homeland of “Prince of the Gobi”, the two humped Bacterian camel and the world’s only desert bear, the Gobi bear. Overnight in the ger camp.

Participtaion in the camel fest, which repersents the Mongolian Camel herdsmen’s culture. Camel riders compete in a race, in a camel polo tournaments and in a camel : “beauty contest” where owners display their finest saddles and accessories. There are wonderful photo opportunities. Continue on second day of the festival, visit camel breeder family for riding a camel and free hiking. Overnight in the ger camp.

Flight to Ulaanbaatar. Arrival in Ulaanbaatar and drive to Terelj National Park, stay on the way seeing Unique Natural Rock Formation “Turtle Rock and Ariyabala Meditation Monastery. Terelj National Park is located in 70 km from Ulaanbaatar city and an exhibition of steppe regions of the south western part of Khentii mountain range.

Overnight in the ger camp.

Explore the area horse riding and free hiking. After lunch back to Ulaanbaatar. Visit to Winter Palace of Bogd Khan, built between 1893 and 1903. It was the home of the Mongolia’s last king JavzunDamba Khutagt VIII. This complex of temples and houses contains a number of Buddhist artworks and the private collection of the Bogd Khan. Our next attraction is the Zaisan Memorial Hill to see a panoramic view of the capital city. Leisure time for individual plans and shopping. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
