Q1. How do I get to Mongolia?
A1. If you have decided to visit Mongolia, you can come by either plane or train.
There are a few places which you get flight to the capital city, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from Europe. They are flights from Berlin, Istanbul, Paris and Moscow. There are daily flights from Seoul, Beijing and Tokyo. The Trans-Mongolian Line of the Trans-Siberian Railway links Mongolian capital, Ulaanbaatar with Moscow and Beijing. It takes 5 days from Ulaanbaatar to Moscow. However the trip from Ulaanbaatar to Beijing takes 2 days. Although the train is very promising for the tourists who want to discover the beauty of Mongolia, it might be a little tiring for the elders.

Q2. Can I book my travel through e-mail?
A2. Yes, you can. Booking through the fax is available.

Q3. What about requirements for visa?
A3. Valid date of your passport should be at least 6 months from the date of entry to Mongolia. For all journey in Mongolia, you have to obtain an entrance visa. In order to obtain the visa you need to contact the Mongolian consulate in your country for more information and process. However, there are visa-exempted countries as per the conditions approved under the Treaty of Mongolia. Citizens of visa-exempted countries can visit Mongolia for following periods without visa.

Q4.What about Insurance?
A4. You are recommended to have insurance with an insurance company of your own country.

Q5.What about communication?
A5. You can make an international call from almost every hotel in the capital and the main cities. Also, Mongolia is widely accessed with mobile and internet operators throughout the country, so communicating is never a problem. You can also rent a mobile phone or satellite phones from the operators. If you make a call from foreign countries to Mongolia, you should put the code 976 as under.

Q6. How do I book my air ticket?
A6. Nowadays getting to Mongolia from different parts of the world is becoming easier.
We arrange everything to book air ticket from all countries over the world to Mongolia. However, you are advised to book your air ticket in advance during the busy summer period in Mongolia-from June to September. Please contact us.

Q7.Can I book air ticket for domestic flight?
A7. Yes, you can. We can provide you with ticket service for the domestic flights. There are 3 airlines for domestic flight of Mongolia. They are Eznis airways, Aero Mongolia and Hunnu Airlines. Given Mongolia’s very busy summer season, domestic air tickets are very hard to obtain after your arrival in country.

A8. You can book international and domestic train ticket through us. Please contact us.

Q9. How about the transport meaning in Mongolia?
A9. There are wide options for transporting meaning of travel in Mongolia. It depends on the purpose of your travel, the number of guests and places where you want to travel.

Q10.What about my safe?
A10. Mongolia is generally a very safe place to travel. However, incidences of pick pocketing and bag slashing have been on the rise in recent years, so always keep your personal belongings  including passport and other important documents in a safe place (money belts are highly recommended), especially in crowded areas or in places where your attention is diverted, such as internet cafes . In this connection, you can keep your belongings in the travel company. Notorious places for theft are the Black Market (bazaar), the railway station and crowded bus stops. Violent crime is uncommon, but still caution is required at night, and dark or deserted alleys and streets, in particular, should be avoided.

Q11. What types of accommodation are available?
A11. We offer a wide range of accommodation options from top-class hotels, motels and guest houses when you stay in Ulaanbaatar city. In attraction areas (out of Ulaanbaatar), you can stay in exclusive lodges and tourist Ger camp (Mongolian traditional dwelling).

Q12. Is there a facility to have a shower during the site trip?
A12. It is available to have a shower in the tourist camps.

Q13. What about WC?
A13. There are WCs at the camp sites. However, when you stay in a tent, it is arranged by us. You are advised to carry your wet tissue and toilet paper with you when you have a trip.

Q14. How do you arrange the drinking water?
A14. We always recommend boiling tube water for drinking water in hotels. Also, you can buy bottled pure water from supermarket and shops.

Q15. What kind of food will we have?
A15. As a rising capital city of the Mongolia, there are many modern Italian, Chinese, Korean, Russian, Japanese and Mongolian restaurants in Ulaanbaatar, where are available to be served western and eastern standard meals or Mongolian traditional cuisines. Most of the old style restaurants serve Russian food, and this type of food is common in the tourist camps in countryside. Small local restaurants and cafes serve Mongolian food such as buuz and khuushuur (steamed and fried beef, mutton dumpling) and others.
The main components of Mongolian meals are beef, mutton and milk products. The most popular drink is milk-tea, which is bit a salty and served every time. Also you will be offered with many kinds of milk products such as airag, mare’s fermented milk, yogurt, and milk cream butter etc in Mongolian family in the countryside.

Q16. Do we have a guide during the travel?
A16. We provide our guests with professional guides with referring languages.

Q17.How do we change our currency?
A17.It is available to change your currency in not only banks also in licensed exchange centers. Also, there are 24-hour-banks in Ulaanbaatar so you do not have to be worried about time limit to change currency. Mongolian currency is called Tugrik and the following notes of Mongolian Tugrik are used. They are 10, 20, 50, 100, 1000, 5000, 10000 and 20000.

Q18. What about usage of Camera and Video?
A18. It is not allowed to take a photo or to make a video in some places such as museums, monasteries, and historical site displays and arts demonstrations. However, you have to get permission in advance and pay certain money to take photos and to make videos in the places mentioned above.

Q19. What is the possibility of gifts and souvenirs?
A19. You have much opportunity to select good gifts and souvenirs in Mongolia. For example: cashmere products, leather products and other beautiful ornamented art crafts showing nomadic life.

Q20. What about tip?
A20. In general there is no practice of tip but you may give a tip if you think that you received good services.
Q21. Do we have to confirm our air tickets?
A21. It is required to confirm your air ticket in Mongolia. If you do not confirm your air ticket, you may not get your return flight. You are advised to get help from the Ticket center or us for the confirmation of air ticket.
Q22. How do we book our travel?
A22. It is very easy to book the travel. Please get detailed information writing an e-mail.
