Today we participate in the Golden Eagle Festival. The festival begins with the participants prade on horses with their eagles, showing their traditional Kazakh costumes and their hunting accessories. The festival presents the best skills of hunters and their eagles.

Moreover, they pass down their traditions, techniques of hunting and training the eagles to the younger genereation. Drive to tourist camp. Overnight in the ger camp.

Terelj National Park Terelj National Park

Trip to Terelj National park, stay on the way seeing Unique Natural Rock Formation “Turtle Rock and Ariyabala Meditation Monastery.

Terelj National Park is located in 70 km from Ulaanbaatar city and an exhibition of steppe regions of the southwestern part of Khentii mountain range. After lunch visit to nomadic family and explore the nomad’s lifestyle. Horse riding. Overnight in the ger camp.

Ulaanbaatar Ulaanbaatar

After breakfast back to Ulaanbaatar. City tour: Visit to Winter Palace of Bogd Khan, built between 1893 and 1903. It was the home of the Mongolia’s last king JavzunDamba Khutagt VIII. This complex of temples and houses contains a number of Buddhist artworks and the private collection of the Bogd Khan.

Our next attraction is the Zaisan Memorial Hill to see a panoramic view of the capital city and Gandan Monastery, the heart of Mongolian yellow head Buddhism. Shopping at the State Department Store and Gobi Cashmere Factory Store. Overnight at hotel.
