Bogudohan Palace Museum Arrival in Ulaanbaatar. Transfer to hotel. Visit to Winter Palace of Bogd Khan, built between 1893 and 1903. It was the home of the Mongolia’s last king JavzunDamba Khutagt VIII.

This complex of temples and houses contains a number of Buddhist artworks and the private collection of the Bogd Khan. Overnight at hotel.

Trip to Terelj National park, stay on the way seeing Unique Natural Rock Formation “Turtle Rock and Ariyabala Meditation Monastery. Terelj National Park is located in 70 km from Ulaanbaatar city and an exhibition of steppe regions of the southwestern part of Khentii mountain range.

After lunch visit to nomadic family and explore the nomad’s lifestyle. Today is Bituun – the Lunar New Year’s Eve or means last dinner of the outgoing year. A huge meal is prepared and all the guests must try all the dishes including large meat dumplings cooked in stock, diary products and milk tea. Overnight in the ger camp.

Visit to a local nomadic family, enjoy as watching Mongolian ancient culture, customs, ceremonies and games and horse riding. All of Mongolians celebrate the Lunar New Year, which is called in Mongolia “Tsagaan Sar” or the White Moon and every year Tsagaan sar become different day / February/. Families start preparing for the holiday at least a month in advance . First of all there is a tradition to prepare plenty of gifts and food.

Every family makes hundreds of Buuz (steamed dumplings) and sews or buys new clothes. According to custom, the fattest sheep should be slaughted and the rump and tail boiled and served on the table for the entire holiday as an honorable meal. Tsagaan Sar symbol wealth and prosperity in the family. Overnight in the ger camp.

Ulaanbaatar Ulaanbaatar

After breakfast and drive to Ulaanbaatar. Visit to Main Square Sukhbaatar – Chinggis Khan’s monument and the Zaisan Memorial Hill to see a panoramic view of the capital city. Our next attraction is Gandan Monastery, the heart of Mongolian yellow head Buddhism. If you have a time to do shopping.

You can buy good quality cashmere products and have some handcrafts for your memory of Mongolia. Overnight at hotel.
